In 1940, Tom Hartness became the first Pepsi Cola franchisee in Greenville, South Carolina. Picture it. With 14 employees, five trucks, and his family to encourage him, he settled on beautifully pristine expansive land with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountain.
